Add franchisee locations to your Square for Franchises account

    After you set up your Square for Franchises account, you can add new franchise locations in your Square for Franchises dashboard, allowing them to participate in the available features. You can also add and authorize locations of your existing franchisees or import locations from your own organization.

    Before you begin

    Only franchisors can invite franchisees to participate. Once you invite franchisees, you can add and authorize the locations from your Square for Franchises dashboard.

    Invite a franchisee

    1. Sign in to your Square for Franchises dashboard, and select Locations.

    2. Select Add organization > Invite Franchisee.

    3. Add the email addresses of the franchisees you would like to invite.

    4. Select Save & send invitation.

    The franchisee will receive an email with instructions on how to join the franchise and activate their subscription. They can follow the next steps to complete the invitation.

    1. Open the email from Franchises Admin with the subject line “Join the [business name] Franchise on Square”.

    2. Select Join Now in the email and sign in to the Square for Franchises page.

    The franchisees will receive a separate invitation to activate any subscriptions that your organization requires.

    1. Select Accept Invite > Go to Square Dashboard > Activate subscriptions.

    2. Input your payment method and select Start subscription.

    Import locations

    You have two options for adding locations: you can create a new location or import existing locations. Adding a location creates a new virtual store you can use for online ordering, whereas importing a location links an existing location’s Square account.

    If you have existing locations, you can import them from Square to your Square for Franchises account.

    1. Sign in to your Square for Franchises dashboard, then go to General Settings, and select Locations.

    2. Select Add Organization >  Connect organization

    3. Select the locations you want to import. 

    4. Select Connect. The locations will import and synchronize with Square for Franchises.
