Manage Bill Pay payment limits
About Bill Pay payment limits
Your Square account falls into either tier one or tier two limits for Pill Pay. Payment limits depend on your account security settings and Square payment history.
Before you begin
To unlock higher tier 2 limits for your account, you must set up two-step verification. This is important for account security and to protect you against account takeovers or other fraudulent activity.
Once you enable two-step verification for your account, Square will determine your Bill Pay tier based on your payment transaction history. Sellers that are relatively new to Square or have infrequent transactions will typically start in tier 1 with lower limits. Once a seller meets the transaction activity thresholds, they will be upgraded to tier 2.
Square will regularly review your transaction history to determine your Bill Pay tier.
