About Square Bill Pay disputes
With Square Bill Pay, you can pay bills and vendors from your Square Dashboard using your Square Checking account or any debit or credit card. As a Square Bill Pay user, you may want to dispute a payment made from your account. Disputes relating to issues with your vendor or unauthorized activity.
Before you begin
Although you may not be satisfied with your vendor, Square is not a party to any agreement you have with the vendor and is unable to resolve a dispute with the vendor on your behalf.
Dispute a Square Bill Pay payment to your vendor
If you’ve completed a payment to a vendor using Square Bill Pay and have an issue with the payment because you are dissatisfied with the vendor or the vendor hasn’t delivered the goods or services you paid for, you must resolve this with the vendor directly.
If you used a debit or credit card to complete this bill payment and report a dispute to your card-issuing bank, the amount of the dispute will be returned to the original payment method and withdrawn from your Square account balance. You will need to contact the vendor to resolve your dispute with them directly.
Dispute unauthorized Square Bill Pay activity
If you did not make this bill payment and believe it was the result of unauthorized account activity, contact us so that Square can investigate. We’ll work with you to get you back in control of your account.

Reset your password
Visit square.com/password. Choose a complex and unique password that is at least eight characters long, with a mix of numbers, symbols, and uppercase and lowercase letters. Avoid using your name, email address, mobile number, birthday, or any other personal information in the new password. If you use the same password for other services, we recommend you change those passwords as well.
