Invite customers to book appointments online

  • About online booking 

    When your clients book online, they’ll automatically have access to a personal customer account that allows them to view past and upcoming appointments with your business, add a card on file for prepayment or no-show protection, or book another appointment with your business. Customers can book online by using a customizable email or sharable link.

    Before you begin 

    Entering customer information will create a client profile for them in the Clients tab of your Square Dashboard.

    Option 1: Create an email campaign 

    When you add your customers’ names and email address, they’ll receive a customized message letting them know that you’re providing online booking through Square Appointments.

    1. Sign in to your Square Dashboard, then go to Appointments > Online Booking

    2. Click Invite Clients > Create Campaign

    3. Add your clients’ names and email addresses. You can remove any clients by clicking the X next to their name. You can also add existing clients to the invite by clicking Add existing clients to invite.

    4. After entering your clients’ information, click Next to edit the email copy. 

    5. Choose where you want the email link to go to, either your business website or your Square Appointments booking site, and click Next

    6. Review and finalize or edit your email, and click Send to deliver your invitation to your clients.

    Option 2: Share your booking URL 

    You can share your online booking URL via text or email from the Square Appointments app. Customers can click on this link and book with your business.

    1. From the main menu, tap Online Booking

    2. Select Square Online website > tap Share.

    3. You can send your booking site URL via text or email to your customers or add to your social media channels.
