Add pop-ups to your Square Online site
About pop-ups
You can add pop-ups to your site to catch the attention of your visitors when they view your website. There are four types of pop-ups
Collect emails – collect email addresses from your customers to add them to your mailing list.
Offer a voucher – bring attention to vouchers you’re offering to encourage online sales (Square Online Plus or Premium required).
Note: Make sure you create a voucher before adding a voucher pop-up. Learn more about creating discounts and vouchers for Square Online items.
Make an announcement – share important news or updates.
Verify age – prevent minors from accessing your site.
For pop-ups, you can customise:
Title and text
Form fields
Action buttons
Background colour
Before you begin
You can create pop-ups from your Square Dashboard.
The pop-up editor is separate from the site editor for your Square Online site. This editor has a similar interface where you see all of your editing options and settings in the editing panel, as well as a preview of what the live pop-up looks like. Available settings vary depending on which style of pop-up you’re creating.

Create a pop-up
You can add a pop-up to your Square Online site from your Square Dashboard.
Sign in to Square Dashboard and go to Channels > Square Online.
Click Communications > Pop-ups.
Choose your pop-up type to open the pop-up editor.
Go to Style and Content and Settings in the editing panel to customise the pop-up. You can also use the buttons at the top of the editor to see how it displays on mobile or check out the confirmation message.
Build and customise your pop-up and select Publish to see your changes live. Publishing your pop-up also publishes your website.
Edit pop-ups
You can view and manage any pop-ups you created from your Square Dashboard.
Sign in to Square Dashboard and go to Channels > Square Online.
Click Communications > Pop-ups.
Select ••• > Edit to make changes to your existing pop-up. The pop-up is temporarily disabled during editing. Publish your site again after making changes.
Select ••• > Change name to change the internal name of your pop-up, or select Delete to remove it from your site.
